Meet Dr. Michelle

Michelle Hagopian, DVM

Veterinarian and Founder of Vet North

I owe my veterinary career to a sweet little black cat from an overcrowded city shelter. I took this sweet soul home and watched him learn to trust me. He taught me so much about animals, their emotions and our relationships with our pets.  I felt I found my passion in helping animals and preserving the human-animal bond. My first veterinary job was secured shortly after, which was at a premier specialty hospital in Los Angeles. Here I was inspired by the top animal doctors working there to deliver a high level of medical care, previously only for humans, to our furry friends. It was just like a people hospital!

Since then, I have gathered about two decades of varied animal care and veterinary experience, from a top rated  veterinary ER/ICU  to the streets of Tijuana, Mexico. The bulk of my experience is from multi-doctor general practices. I’ve been filling in at several hospitals around the Duluth area the past few years, and am very excited to now bring my personal vision of veterinary care to this area! I’d be honored to be invited into your home to care for your pet and be your partner in their health and wellbeing.

My promise as your veterinarian is to treat your pet as I would my own, listen wholeheartedly, explain things thoroughly, and provide the best medical care that I can.

In my spare time you can find me tending to my pollinator garden, hanging with my dogs at the big lake, or baking with my daughter (who adores animals and wants to be a vet when she grows up too).
