Veterinary care at home
We come to you so your pet can be happy and comfortable
Our Promise
Veterinary Care shouldn’t be scary. We promise to meet your pet where they are and never overly stress them. We practice medicine based on the most current research and best products available. And most importantly, we promise to treat your pets as if they were our own.
Why housecalls?
Housecalls were the original form of patient medical care, both for humans and animals, for a very long time. Doctors came to homes to check on patients carrying just their black doctor bags with everything they needed in there.
Over the years, as cities grew and veterinary clinics became more common, housecalls became less frequent. However, in recent years, there has been a resurgence of in-home veterinary services, driven by the desire for convenience, reduced stress for pets, and a focus on client-centered care.
Housecall medicine has many benefits:
-
Offers a low-stress environment for pets. It reduces anxiety associated with travel and the unfamiliar sounds and smells of a clinic settings.
Provide an opportunity for pet guardians to discuss their pet's health and behavior in a familiar atmosphere. This is particularly great for behavior issues , like inappropriate urination in cats
-
Pets with mobility issues
Families with multiple pets
Busy humans who want to save time driving to a vet office then waiting to be seen
Humans with transportation challenges
Humans with young children
And who could forget - housecalls are great for CATS. Sometimes cats hide the second that carrier comes out and maybe you miss your appointment. Sometimes they attack each other when they get home (non-recognition aggression). Imagine not needing the carrier at all
-
There are just a few situations were housecalls are not a great idea:
If you pet is protective of your home or reacts negatively when guests come over
If you pet has shown aggression (growling, trying to bite) any time to those providing veterinary care or to other people they have interacted with
Sticking with a full service vet in these scenarios is the best best
